Bridges: one of my favourites
I love puzzles. Well, certain kinds of puzzles. Crossword puzzles are too arcane, and math puzzles that involve adding aren’t high on my list either. But my favourite kinds right now are Sudoku and Bridges.
I first discovered these puzzles when I was experimenting with using a Palm PDA. Although I’ve since ditched the Palm, I enjoyed the puzzles. I rediscovered them the other day when I was printing some logic puzzles for my students.
My favourites are Bridges, Slant, Unequal, and of course, Sudoku (aka Solo). You can download the entire set of twenty-seven puzzles, and the best thing is that you can easily print most of the games, so you can curl up with a pencil, eraser, and clipboard and settle in for an afternoon of mental gymnastics.
