In which the travelers travel
Flew to Incheon, ate Korean food for breakfast (Kimchi bokumbap and Omu rice: yummy!), flew to Narita, Gin looked for quality reading material … nope, flew to SF, United Airlines sucks (grouchy staff, Gin’s breakfast was lost), problems with SF immigration: were told to line up behind hundreds of nervous ESL Chinese kids… then later told we could have used the ‘Domestic’ line and skipped ahead, consequently missed our connecting flight to Vancouver, rebooked (thankfully having to wait only two hours), empathized with the ESL Chinese kids who were valiantly trying to understand and obey the slang-rich and under-enunciated SF Security Officers, ESL Chinese kids, VISA charged a $12 phone call to Stu (aka Dad Taxi), waited for flight: plane delayed 1.5 hours, finally boarded plane, plane sits on runway for 30+ minutes, flew/slept to Vancouver, YVR (Vancouver airport) is pretty (Haida carvings, waterfalls, wood), Canadian Immigration officials nosey, Dad/Stu picks us up, drive home (well… one of our homes), arrive 37 hours after we left Vietnam (or 105 days after we left Canada), slept.
